Frank West confirmed for Tatsunoku vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars!

Posted in Uncategorized on September 24, 2009 by drtactix

TGS is happening now, so you can expect to hear tons of news from Japan.  One of the most exciting news to hit (for me) involves a new secret character for TvC….Frank West from Dead Rising!

I dont know how I feel about this…..I was totally rooting for Zack and Wiki to be the new character, since I think their art style fits totally with what TvC was aiming for.  Frank West’s specials look fun, but his fighting style just seems weird.  To see what I mean, check out the link below to the Capcom-Unity site!

Impressions: Resident Evil 5 “Versus” DLC

Posted in Uncategorized on April 8, 2009 by mornaur

I got a chance to play the new Versus mode introduced into Resident Evil 5 via the recently released DLC. Versus mode allows up to four players to compete against each other on multiple maps resembling areas within Resident Evil 5’s single player campaign. There are four rulesets that the players can play by, and these rulesets dictate win conditions, and how the games are setup. I only played a handful of games thus far, whenever I could squeeze in some time, but you can get the general idea of how things work as there’s not much variation between the different rulesets. Hit the jump for my impressions.

PSA: No More Heroes $15 on Amazon!

Posted in Uncategorized on April 2, 2009 by joshhest

12494Honestly, you can’t get a lot for $15 these days.  What you can get it a brutal, brutally wacky, uber-Japanese killfest for the Wii (assuming you haven’t had your fill with MadWorld yet).

So go do it.  If it hurts, just think: you’re helping our poor, downtrodden economy get some necessary relief.

And many, many decapitations.

Left 4 Dead Survival DLC coming April 21

FAP FAP FAP FAP FAP FAP FAP FAP FAP FAP FAP FAP FAP FAP FAP FAP

Although I haven’t played L4D in quite awhile, due to the slew of 360 games I just bought for myself, there’s no better reason to get back into it than the free DLC Valve is releasing in late April. The release of the remaining two Versus maps and the new Survival mode should offer new excitement. I am especially looking forward to trying out Survival mode, as I heard it is way more hectic than Versus. Roughly 10-minute matches than you can play over and over means you can play for as little or as much time as you want, and still get something out of it.

Unfortunately, it seems all the rest of you play the 360 version of the game, so you guys pretty much suck. If you all are planning to play Survival when the DLC is released, I might consider renting L4D for the 360 again to play with you all.
