SFIV Gamestop Tournament!

Do you think you have what it takes to be the best at a fighting game mere days after it is released? Well, you will have your chance to test your skill thanks to Capcom, EVO championship series and Gamestop!

Starting Feb 21st, many Gamestop locations around the country will host SFIV tournaments. Winners of this first round go on to compete in district tournaments, and the regional tournaments. The top 16 regional finalists will have a chance to compete in the championship event on April 18th in San Francisco. The winner will receive an authentic SF4 arcade machine, tons of cred, and the hot tub of women that comes with said credentials. All finalists however, will qualify for the quarter finals stage of the EVO Championship Series world finals, held in Vegas on July 17-19th.

So get to your local Gamestop and sign up! I have already signed up at the Berkeley Gamestop for that tournament…we will see how far I can go! Even if the fates dont shine my way, and I dont make it to compete in SF, if the event is open to the public I’ll try to attend and provide some coverage for the site.

Good luck, guys! HA-DO-KEN! Read the official press release after the jump!
